Established clients, Sand Island Developments Limited, instructed DCA to provide a full commission service in respect of this site whereby we advised on the identification and purchase of the site initially and then to develop a suitable architectural design.

This half-acre vacant site was purchased with the benefit of detailed planning consent for a substantive property out of keeping with the style of the area and not commercially viable to develop. 

The site was surrounded by Maldon Fencing industrial buildings, which have since been demolished.

Our clients decided to use a Potton Hertitage style timber frame design and we provided a full management service acting as contract administrator under the JCT Contract. 

The contractor was BS Construction Ltd.

The project was funded by NatWest plc.
